Video: Animal Collective - "Summertime Clothes" live on Letterman

Animal Collective dropped by Letterman the other day to perform "Summertime Clothes" off the marvelous Merriweather Post Pavilion. Freaky performance art included.

Love this band, even thought Letterman was funny, and the sound was surprisingly good for a live performance on a talk show. But I still don't like interpretive dance. Even with colored sheets and flashing lights. What is that?

I feel a second conspiracy comin' on. It starts with flying shapes, and then weird people in body suits in the background rubbing each other. Check out video for "Daniel" if you don't believe me.

I, too, am not a big fan of interpretative dance; most of the time it's just hilarious...like when Lebowski's landlord invites him to his "show"...that's the epitome of interpretative art!
